HISTORIA

ACT se incorporĆ³ en 1956 para patrocinar el "Club de Amistad Fireside" administrado por el cliente para personas con enfermedades mentales graves. FFC era un club social terapĆ©utico que trabajaba para establecer una base sĆ³lida para la vida cotidiana.

A lo largo de los aƱos, ACT ganĆ³ una sĆ³lida reputaciĆ³n por su intervenciĆ³n, innovaciĆ³n y terapia. ACT se ha diversificado y sus servicios de salud mental ahora se extienden a la terapia individual, familiar y grupal, con un enfoque en la reunificaciĆ³n de padres e hijos, el trauma infantil y la curaciĆ³n de familias.

Wanda Irene Alexander Broadie

1921-2020

Wanda dedicated over 50 years at ACT for Mental Health as a volunteer, counselor and CEO. Wanda was a recipient of the local Jefferson Award for Public Service in 2013 and the Community Hero Award from the Santa Clara Department of Behavioral Health in 2018. Wanda has been recognized as a lifelong mental health advocate and treatment pioneer. Under Wanda's leadership, her goal was to ensure ACT stays open for people who are in need of affordable mental health services in Santa Clara County.
